The Khordha District Legal Services Authority successfully organized the year’s third National Lok Adalat across all judicial courts on Thursday.
A total of 83,061 cases were presented during the session, out of which 62,487 cases were amicably resolved. The Lok Adalat achieved a landmark settlement amount totaling Rs 28,85,10,978 covering various categories, including revenue matters, criminal compounding, and unpaid bank loan dues.
The proceedings were conducted under the direct supervision and guidance of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Biranchi Narayan Mohanty.
Expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming success of the camp, Secretary of the Authority, Salomi Sahu, thanked all judicial officers, lawyers, bank officials, insurance representatives, telecom personnel, and revenue officers for their collaborative efforts. She also announced that the fourth National Lok Adalat of the year is scheduled for December 12, and urged the public to make the most of these alternative dispute resolution platforms.
