Jharsuguda police achieved a breakthrough by solving a major theft case within 18 hours under “Operation Netra.”
Swift Investigation and Arrests
The theft occurred late at night at the Urban Ayushman Aarogya Mandir in Sarasamal. Police registered the case immediately and formed a special team under the direct supervision of the Jharsuguda SP. Investigators reached the crime scene, conducted scientific analysis, and collected CCTV footage from nearby areas.
Technical surveillance and intelligence inputs helped police identify the suspects. Acting quickly, the team launched raids and arrested two accused: Subodh Sahu (34) of Malipada Siriabagicha and Sanjay Keshari (45) of Sundargarh district.
Recovery of Stolen Items
Police recovered stolen property worth nearly Rs 3 lakh. The seized items included two inverter batteries, a Samsung LED TV, a CCTV DVR, an inverter machine, a face recognition device, a gold chain, and a diamond ring. Officers also confiscated a Mahindra pickup truck, a motorcycle, a cutter machine, and a ladder used in the crime.
The arrests highlight the efficiency of Jharsuguda police in tackling theft cases. Authorities confirmed that the accused will be produced in court today.
