A love triangle turned violent in the Samantarapur area of Bhubaneswar when a youth from Nimapada allegedly threatened a bar dancer with a gun inside a car.
According to reports, the youth and the woman were in a relationship. However, the entry of a third person created tension and led to disputes. Enraged by the situation, the youth called the woman into his car and brandished a firearm to intimidate her. The incident occurred late at night, leaving the woman terrified.
Exclusive video footage from the scene reportedly shows the dark interior of the car, reflecting the seriousness of the threat.
The woman, originally from West Bengal, lodged a complaint at Lingaraj police station. Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Moreover, a special team has begun raids to apprehend the accused youth.
The incident has raised concerns about law and order in the capital city. Residents expressed worry that personal relationships are escalating into violent confrontations.
Police Commissionerate officials assured strict action against the accused and emphasised that such acts of intimidation will not be tolerated.
