This development is likely to intensify rainfall activity across Odisha, with significant impact expected in the southern districts.
Starting September 10, rainfall is projected to increase steadily, culminating in heavy downpours on September 13. The districts of Malkangiri and Koraput are under an orange warning for extremely heavy rainfall on September 11 and 12, while Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Nabarangapur are also expected to receive substantial rainfall.
A yellow warning for lightning and thunderstorms has been issued across the state for today, urging residents to remain cautious and prepared for potential disruptions.
Authorities have advised citizens to stay updated with official alerts and take necessary precautions, especially in flood-prone and low-lying areas.
