Professor Pravat Kumar Roul has been granted a three-year extension as Vice-Chancellor of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT).
The announcement was made by Chancellor Hari Babu Kambhampati, effective from September 9, 2025.
The official letter, issued by the Special Secretary to the Chancellor, cited provisions under the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology Act, 1965, confirming Prof. Roul’s reappointment until 2028 or until further orders.
Prof. Roul, an alumnus of OUAT, originally assumed the Vice-Chancellor role in 2022. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of APICOL and held several key positions within OUAT, including Dean (Extension), Dean (Veterinary), and Director of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation. His extensive experience in teaching, research, and administration has been instrumental in shaping OUAT’s academic and infrastructural growth.
The extension is expected to bolster ongoing initiatives in agricultural education, research, and innovation across Odisha.
