Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar today to participate in the 9th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Healthcare Systems in India.

The two-day summit, organized by the National Health Mission (NHM), will commence on February 28 at the Swosti Premium Beach Resort in Puri.

During the event, Minister Nadda will inaugurate the summit and release the report of the 16th Common Review Mission. The summit aims to showcase and disseminate effective practices and innovations in the public healthcare system across the country. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling are also expected to attend the inaugural function.

Initiated in 2013, this annual summit has become a key platform for sharing successful health interventions and strategies under the NHM. The event facilitates the exchange of knowledge among states, promoting the adoption of best practices to enhance public health outcomes nationwide.

The National Health Innovation Portal, launched during the 2015 summit in Shimla, continues to serve as a repository for health innovations, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to identifying and nurturing effective healthcare solutions.

The 9th National Summit is expected to attract health officials, policymakers, and practitioners from various states, providing a collaborative platform to discuss and implement innovative approaches in public health.
