A group of looters in Bhubaneswar uprooted an SBI ATM at Samantarapur Chhak and dumped the machine in the Gangua drain after stealing cash from it.
The robbers fled the scene in an auto-rickshaw, abandoning the damaged ATM and the vehicle. The amount of money stolen is yet to be determined.
Police have seized the ATM and the auto-rickshaw and have started an investigation. A scientific team has inspected the scene, and a special investigation team has been formed to track down the culprits.
