Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in the 124th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme on Sunday, listening to it along with children at the Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram located in Mancheswar Industrial Area, Bhubaneswar.

The Chief Minister encouraged the ashram students to take inspiration from the messages of the Prime Minister, advising them to study well, work hard, and aim to achieve greatness in life. On this occasion, he also planted a neem sapling in the ashram premises.

During the programme, PM Modi praised the 650 tribal women from Mayurbhanj district who have revived the traditional Santhali saree, turning it into a means of livelihood and a symbol of cultural preservation. “These women are not just weaving cloth; they are weaving a new identity for themselves,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister also lauded the efforts of Pramila Pradhan from Keonjhar district, who, through the Radhakrishna Sankirtan Mandali, has been spreading awareness about forest fire prevention and environmental protection using devotional songs and kirtans.

The CM noted that Mann Ki Baat continues to highlight the struggles, successes, and innovations of ordinary people, inspiring citizens across the nation.
