Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor Raghubar Das on Monday wished the Odia-speaking people across the globe on the occasion of the ‘Classical Status Day of Odia Language’.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wished the Odia-speaking people. He wrote on his X handle, “Language is our glory, our beauty. Language has enriched our identity. Today, we are celebrating ‘Classical Status Day of Odia Language’ as a contribution to keep the dignity of our language intact,” adding, “I pay tribute to the extraordinary contribution of the great men behind it. Let’s take care of the widespread use of Odia language, enrich our linguistic identity and build a ‘New Odisha’.”
Taking to his X handle, Governor Das wrote, “Odia language is the identity of our people. It’s elegance and cultural consciousness makes us special. On the occasion of the ‘Classical Status Day of Odia Language’’ today, the Governor extends his best wishes to all the Odia-speaking brothers and sisters across the world.”
