Indian Techie Soham Parekh Breaks Silence Again: “My Life Hasn’t Changed One Bit” After Moonlighting Scandal

Soham Parekh, the Indian engineer who made headlines last year after being accused of working simultaneously for multiple startups, is back in the spotlight — this time for a cryptic and candid social media post.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Parekh shared a screenshot of a conversation where someone asked him how he manages to work so much. He replied, “I love what I do. Lol. I don’t have anything else to do.” Alongside the screenshot, Parekh wrote, “My life hasn’t changed one bit.”

The post quickly garnered attention, with users divided over his apparent nonchalance. Some praised his dedication, while others saw it as a possible “cry for help.” One user wrote, “This is either peak dedication or burnout disguised as ambition,” while another questioned whether the techie felt lonely.

Parekh became notorious in the tech community after entrepreneur Suhail Doshi publicly accused him of moonlighting across several startups and misleading employers. The controversy snowballed as multiple U.S.-based startup founders came forward with similar claims, some saying they had hired or interviewed him, while former colleagues described him as a highly skilled developer.

In a subsequent interview, Parekh admitted to working multiple jobs but denied doing it with fraudulent intent. “It’s not something I’m proud of,” he said. “I never meant to scam anyone. I was just trying to meet financial needs and stay employed.”

Despite the scandal, Parekh’s latest post suggests he remains unfazed and is continuing his professional life with little disruption. While the legal and ethical debate around his actions continues, one thing is clear — Soham Parekh isn’t stepping away from the tech world just yet.
