Udala: As part of the efforts to hear people’s grievances once a week the Mayurbhanj district administration on Monday organised a joint public grievance hearing session in the Kaptipada subdivision.
At least 87 grievances including 78 individuals and 9 communities were received at the session. In this meeting, Mayurbhanj Collector Shri Veenit Bharadwaj (I.A.S), Superintendent of Police, Shri B.Gangadhar (I.P.S), and Kaptipada Sub-Collector Shri Sushant Kumar Barik (O.A.S (S)) took cognizance of the complaints and asked concerned authorities to address the issues at the earliest.
Sources said most of the community applications were for the construction of new houses under Mo Ghara scheme, drainage, and irrigation issues. Individual grievance applications included the settlement of land issues and requests for healthcare assistance, housing, ration cards, unemployment allowance and others.
Around Rs 5,000 was also sanctioned from the CM’s Relief Fund for the treatment of a person on the occasion.
