Mayurbhanj: An Indian Navy helicopter executed an emergency landing in a paddy field at Amarada village within the Rasagovindapur block of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the helicopter experienced a technical malfunction mid-flight.
Local farmers were startled to see the helicopter descending over their fields, eventually landing nearby to avoid scattering the cut paddy.
The unexpected descent of the helicopter caught the attention of the villagers, who quickly gathered to get a closer look.
Reports confirm that the pilot and crew were unharmed. Following the landing, the pilot addressed the mechanical issue that necessitated the emergency landing. The problem was rectified in approximately 30 minutes, and the helicopter was cleared for takeoff.
After pausing for roughly 45 minutes, the helicopter took off from the paddy field and continued its flight without any further issues.
