Bhubaneswar: Even as the Odisha government announced to reopen schools from Wednesday (June 21), administrations of some western Odisha districts have changed the schedule in their respective jurisdiction in view of heat wave condition.
Several districts have decided to resume classes on June 22, some others preferred to to do the same from next day (June 23).
There will be morning classes in the schools across the western Odisha districts.
Jharsuguda district decided to reopen on June 22, but classes will be conducted in the morning hour only .It will continue till June 24.
There will be morning classes from June 22 to 24 in Sambalpur.
In Sonepur district, schools will reopen on June 23 and the morning classes will continue till June 24. The classes will be held from 6.30 am to 9.30 am.
Morning classes will continue in Bolangir till June 24. In Sundargarh and Nuapada districts, the schools will reopen on June 23.
However, classes will be held at regular timings from June 26.
Earlier, the School and Mass Education department had announced to reopen schools from June 21. However, the department authorized the Collectors of some western Odisha districts to take decision in view of weather condition.
