In response to increasing passenger demand and overwhelming popularity, the Puri–Howrah Vande Bharat Express will operate with 20 coaches starting May 16, 2025.
The Indian Railways has decided to augment the premium semi-high-speed train with four additional AC Chair Car Coaches, further enhancing capacity and comfort for travellers.
With this expansion, the upgraded train composition will include 16 AC Chair Car Coaches, 2 Executive Chair Car Coaches, and 2 Crew & AC Chair Car Coaches. This move aims to accommodate more passengers, reduce waitlists, and improve overall travel convenience.
