Celebrating lifelong fitness, fierce competition, and enduring sportsmanship, the international tournament has drawn veteran players from across the country to compete at the highest level.
The tournament has recorded a phenomenal response, boasting 177 total entries, 132 participating players, and 139 high-stakes matches scheduled across 23 individual events. Over the coming days, seven dedicated courts at Kalinga Stadium will showcase relentless action, proving that passion for competitive sport knows no age limit.
Beyond the thrill of competition, the MT200 tournament serves as a critical stop on the international circuit, offering lucrative ITF world ranking points across categories:
- Winner: 200 points
- Runner-up: 140 points
- Semifinal (SF): 90 points
- Quarterfinal (QF): 60 points
- Round of 16 (R16): 40 points
The event is being organized under the leadership of OTA President Asit Tripathy, IAS, Secretary Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, and Vice-President Dr. Satyajit Mohanty, IPS, along with key office-bearers of the Odisha Tennis Association. International Tennis Federation (ITF) Supervisor Tejal Kulkarni is overseeing tournament operations to ensure full compliance with global match regulations.
The grand inaugural ceremony features notable dignitaries from the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha. Commissioner-cum-Secretary Bhupinder Singh Poonia, IAS, will grace the occasion as Chief Guest, alongside Director of Sports Yeddula Vijay, IAS, as Guest of Honour.
