Ganjam: Berhampur police has busted a fake sauce manufacturing unit at Ganesh Nagar area under Bada Bazar police limits in Ganjam district on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, cops raided the unit and confiscated the stock of duplicate ‘chilli sauce’, ‘soya sauce and ‘tomato sauce’. Some bottles, machines used to prepare the sauce, raw materials, artificial colour and essence were also seized.
Besides, police have also detained the owner of the fake manufacturing unit for questioning. Police are investigating its supply chain and root of the illegal trade.
