Bhubaneswar: While a total of 44,880 persons received the COVID-19 vaccines on Day 5 of the drive in Odisha, two cases of Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) were reported across the State.
This was informed by the State Health Department.
Reportedly, a 27-year-old staff nurse (female) in Bargarh district developed fever today. She received the vaccine on January 16. She is admitted to a hospital and is under observation.
On the other hand, a 45-year-old Asha worker of Jagatsinghpur district got the vaccine on January 19. She developed a headache and fainted on January 20. The woman has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital and is currently keeping well, the Health Department informed.
