Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the milestone 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 on Oct 8 at approximately 10 AM at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
Jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the four-day mega technology event runs from Oct 7 to Oct 10.
Core Theme and Four Pillars
The overarching theme for IMC 2026 is “Scale Without Boundaries,” highlighting India’s rapid advancements in digital innovation, telecommunications, and tech-led economic growth. The summit is anchored around four key strategic pillars:
- Srishti: Building the Future (Focus on next-gen digital infrastructure and innovation)
- Samvardhan: Fueling Growth (Driving technology-led economic expansion)
- Sashakt: Expanding Opportunities (Promoting inclusive digital access)
- Suraksha: Strengthening Trust (Developing secure and resilient digital ecosystems)
Expanding Horizons: Sectors and Global Participation
While maintaining its focus on nine established anchor sectors—including 5G and 6G networks, next-gen AI, semiconductors, quantum communication, cybersecurity, and electronics manufacturing—the 2026 edition introduces four pioneering domains: Smart Mobility, Stadium Experiences, Industrial Robotics, and Transport Technology.
The grand event is projected to draw massive international participation, hosting over 1.5 lakh attendees from more than 100 countries. It features more than 500 global partners and exhibitors, 600 startups, and 900 thought leaders showcasing over 2,000 cutting-edge technology use cases across more than 120 specialized sessions.
