Jharsuguda: After COVID-19 positive cases were detected from some private educational institutes in the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, the deadly virus has now gripped an engineering college in Jharsuguda district.
As many as 13 teachers and 8 students of the engineering college have tested positive for COVID-19 in the the district.
According to sources, swab samples of 100 persons including some students were collected for tests after a positive case was reported from the college recently.
It may be recalled that the schools and colleges reopened in Odisha a few days ago after remaining closed for nearly seven months due to coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the deadly virus in the country.
