A 5-year-old boy from Kapsi village under the Sinapali block headquarters in Nuapada district is currently battling for his life following a severe stray dog attack.
The victim, Kabyansha Kumar Jagat (affectionately known as Lucky), sustained critical injuries on October 20. Given the severity of his condition, he was rushed first to the Sinapali Community Health Centre (CHC), then referred to Bhawanipatna, and subsequently shifted to Balaji Hospital in Raipur for advanced critical care.
Doctors have stated that the young boy’s condition remains critical and that an urgent, high-cost surgical operation is required to save his life. However, coming from a poor daily-wage labour family, Lucky’s parents are facing a severe financial crisis. Unable to bear the mounting medical expenses, the distressed family has made a fervent plea to the district administration for immediate government assistance, particularly from the Red Cross fund.
With time running out and funds severely depleted, well-wishers and the child’s family have turned to social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp. They have shared PhonePe numbers and QR codes to rally public support, and a wave of compassionate citizens has already begun extending helping hands.
As the battle for young Lucky’s survival continues, local residents and community leaders are pressing the district administration and the District Collector to intervene swiftly and ensure comprehensive medical support for the family in their darkest hour.
