Kalahandi: At least two people were killed and four others sustained injuries after the ambulance they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree near Mahichala chhak on NH-26 under Junagarh police station in Kalahandi district.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Bhawanipatna hospital when the driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheels and dashed the vehicle into a roadside tree.
Subsequently, a patient and helper of the ambulance died in the mishap, and four others sustained grievous injuries. The injured persons have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard.
