Bolangir: Police seized 11 kg of ganja from a car at Kukudahad chhak near Bangomunda road in Bolangir district on Wednesday and arrested a person in this connection.
The accused has been identified as Basudev Meher of Junagarh in Kalahandi district. He has been staying in Patimal village under Turekela tehsil for a long period.
Acting on a tip-off, the Kantabanji police conducted a raid in Kukudahad chhak and intercepted the car in which the contraband was being carried by the accused.
The smuggler has been taken into custody. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered in the police station against the accused.
