Nuapada: As many as ten persons became seriously ill after consuming a poisonous mushroom in Kirikita village under Khariar block in Nuapada district.
The victims have been identified as Chulamani Majhi, Laxmidhar Majhi, Nilendri Majhi, Bhaishnav Majhi, Pinki Majhi, Rima Majhi, Debashis Majhi, Parshuram Majhi, Purnima Majhi and Hemakanti Dharua.
As per reports, all of them fell ill after consuming the poisonous mushroom last night. They were immediately admitted to the Khariar Sub-divisional Hospital. As the condition of Chulamani, Laxmidhar and Niledri deteriorated, they were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital. The conditions of others are said to be normal now.
