Bargarh: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today apprehended the headmaster of a high school in Bargarh district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 14000.
The accused has been identified as Balamukunda Padhan, Head Master, Kushanpuri High School, Bargarh.
Pradhan has been apprehended by vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.14,000 from a functionary of local SHG to process a file for release of payment in their favour towards cleaning and night watch duty of the school. The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Sri Pradhan and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Pradhan from a DA angle.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No.09 dt.21.04.2024 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress against the accused Pradhan. Further reports are awaited.
