Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid his humble tributes to the great spiritual guru and patriot Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary today.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the Odisha CM wrote: “Humble tributes to the great spiritual guru & patriot, Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, celebrated as National Youth Day.”
He also appreciated the young blood donors for their humane gesture during the Coronavirus pandemic. Besides, he urged everyone to “voluntarily donate blood to save precious lives.”

Swami Vivekananda, a great Hindu monk and passionate patriot, was born in Kolkata January 12, 1863.
He was among the most celebrated spiritual leaders who worked tirelessly towards betterment of the society.
Vivekananda’s teachings laid a foundation for India’s unity. He taught how to live together with harmony in India, a country with extensive diversity.
He also represented India’s culture and Hinduism across the world and created a virtual bridge between India’s culture and the western world.
