Police have arrested a youth named Rudramani Bag from Larki village under Turekela police station for allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting a minor girl.
The case, registered as No. 152/25, has led to swift action by the authorities.
According to Ramakanta Sahu, Officer-in-Charge at Turekela Police Station, the youth was taken into custody following a formal complaint. The accused has now been presented before the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court in Bolangir for further legal proceedings.
The incident has sparked concern among local residents, with demands for stricter vigilance and enforcement of child protection laws. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to taking swift action in cases involving minors.
