Cuttack/Sambalpur: The Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday raided an illegal furniture unit at Subanpur village within Dhama police station limits in Sambalpur district.
On the basis of reliable information, the Vigilance sleuths conducted a joint raid and seized around 24.647 Cft. of timber and furniture unit accessories worth around Rs.1 lakh.
Following the raid, the Vigilance ascertained that the furniture unit was running without any valid license.
“In this connection, a case (3/2022) has been registered in Dhama Range under Sambalpur Forest Division and is under investigation,” the Vigilance Directorate in Cuttack said, in the press note.
