In view of the worsening flood situation across parts of Odisha, Utkal University has postponed its fourth‑semester examinations scheduled for Monday.
The decision covers undergraduate courses including B.Sc, ITM, B.Sc Computer Science, and B.Ed (UDTE), which were to be held at degree and self‑financing colleges affiliated with the university.
University authorities stated that the move was taken to ensure the safety of students, as floodwaters have disrupted transport and access in several districts. A fresh schedule for the postponed exams will be announced later.
Colleges have been directed to immediately inform students and faculty about the change in timetable.
