The Odisha Masters 2025, a BWF World Tour Super 100 badminton tournament, culminated on a high note at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, with top-seeded Indians Unnati Hooda and Kiran George emerging victorious in the women’s and men’s singles categories, respectively.

The six-day event, which kicked off on December 9, featured intense finals across all five categories on Sunday, drawing enthusiastic crowds and showcasing top international talent.

In the women’s singles final, top seed Unnati Hooda delivered a dominant performance, defeating compatriot Isharani Baruah in straight games 21-17, 21-10. The 18-year-old Hooda controlled the rallies throughout, wrapping up the match in just over half an hour to claim her maiden Odisha Masters title. Baruah, despite the loss, earned a well-deserved runner-up spot after a breakthrough week filled with impressive victories.

The men’s singles final was a thrilling three-game battle, where Kiran George outlasted Indonesia’s Muhamad Yusuf 21-14, 13-21, 21-16. After dropping the second game, George regained composure in the decider to secure the championship.
