Sundargarh: Tension prevailed in the Lefripara police station area of Sundargarh on Monday after highly decomposed bodies of two unidentified persons were found lying near the Chotbanga-Jhargaon road under mysterious circumstances.
The incident came to light after some locals spotted the unidentified decomposed bodies in the morning and called up police.
According to reports, the bodies were found dumped at a distance of around a kilometre from the Sargipalli police outpost and locals informed outpost in-charge Kashinath Barik.
Following this, the police team along with the scientific team came to the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
Prima facie, it appears to be a case of murder from the circumstantial evidence. Further investigation by the police is underway.
