Bolangir: At least two persons were killed while two others were injured after the car they were travelling in hit a roadside tree at Sagarpalli Chakk situated at NH-26 in Deogaon.
The deceased persons were identified as Biswajit Madala and Rajesh Hembram who was a bank manager.
Reportedly, the incident took place in the wee hours today while the occupants of the car were en route to Bhubaneswar from Deogaon. Unfortunately, the driver lost control over the wheels due to over speed and hit a roadside tree.
While two persons died on the spot under the impact of the accident, two others sustained critical injuries.
Immediately, the injured persons were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post mortem. A case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated into the matter, police said.
