Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) launched a meticulously planned attack on a military outpost in South Waziristan, resulting in the deaths of 20 Pakistani soldiers.
The assault, carried out with laser rifles and heavy weapons, targeted the Dangate outpost in Shakai subdivision late Thursday night.
The Pakistani army dispatched reinforcements, but a supporting convoy was ambushed en route, adding to the devastation. TTP claimed responsibility, stating that the attack was retaliation for a Pakistani military operation in Shawal. The militants also seized advanced weaponry, including night vision gear and a rocket launcher.
