The Ganjam Cyber Police have dismantled an alleged online betting app fraud network, arresting three persons and seizing a large cache of digital devices and financial documents.
Acting on intelligence, police raided rented houses in Gajapati Nagar and Palurgada under Rambha police limits, where youths from outside Odisha were allegedly operating betting applications. Two suspects were apprehended during the raids, while two others escaped. Later, police traced and arrested Jagadish Sethi alias Suraj from Chamakhandi.
The arrested accused were identified as Satrughna Kumar Pandey of Jharkhand, Dharmadas Manikpuri of Chhattisgarh, and Jagadish Sethi alias Suraj.
Seized items included two laptops, a Lenovo Chromebook, 78 ATM/debit cards, 16 bank passbooks, 14 smartphones, 86 SIM cards, and a Bajaj Pulsar 220 motorcycle. Police also recovered user IDs, passwords, and transaction records linked to betting platforms such as Reddy Play 11, Hush 777, 100 Panel, and Fairplay.
Investigators revealed that the accused possessed PAN and Aadhaar details of multiple individuals, raising concerns about identity misuse. The seized devices are undergoing forensic examination to determine the scale of the fraud and identify other members of the network.
The case, registered on September 19, 2026 (Case No. 20/2026), is under further investigation. SP Harisha B C shared details at a press conference, joined by SDPO Chandan Kumar Ghadhei and Cyber Police Station IIC Jyoti Ranjan Behera.
