Donald Trump has expanded his $10 billion lawsuit against CBS News, now including CBS’s parent company, Paramount Global, as a defendant.
The lawsuit claims that CBS deliberately edited a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris to make her appear more articulate and competent.
Congressman Ronny Jackson has joined the lawsuit, claiming he was “injured” by CBS’s actions as a consumer of news media.
The unedited interview was released by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, revealing discrepancies between the aired and full versions.
Trump’s legal team has filed a Freedom of Information request with the FCC for records related to his complaint.
Reports suggest that Paramount executives are considering settling the lawsuit, although CBS staff are opposed to any settlement.
Trump has also criticized USAID, which he shut down, for allegedly paying Politico $8 million for employee subscriptions as part of media collusion with the Democratic Party.
