Indian Railways continues its commitment to bolstering safety and infrastructure with a crucial modernisation project in the Rourkela–Bondamunda section.
The South Eastern Railway (SER), Chakradharpur Division, has scheduled track linking and non-interlocking operations from April 21 to April 26, 2025, to commission multi-tracking lines, ensuring improved efficiency and safety for railway operations.
The modernisation work necessitates temporary adjustments to train schedules, including full and partial cancellations, to facilitate the seamless execution of this project.
These changes prioritise passenger safety while aiming to minimise inconvenience.

- 18452 Puri–Hatia Tapaswini Express (April 20, 21, 22, 24 & 25)
- 18451 Hatia–Puri Tapaswini Express (April 21, 22, 23, 25 & 26)
- 18125 Rourkela–Puri Express (April 24 & 25)
- 18126 Puri–Rourkela Express (April 25 & 26)
- 18118/18117 Gunupur–Rourkela–Gunupur Rajyarani Express (From Gunupur on April 24, from Rourkela on April 25)
Partial Train Cancellations:
- 22862/12872 Kantabanji/Titilagarh–Howrah Ispat Express (April 21–26, operating up to Jharsuguda before returning)
- 22861/12871 Howrah–Kantabanji/Titilagarh Ispat Express (Limited to Tatanagar, returning to origin)
- 15028/15027 Sambalpur–Gorakhpur–Sambalpur Maurya Express (Cancelled on April 21 & 25; Sambalpur–Chakradharpur Maurya Express cancelled on April 23 & 26)
- 20835/20836 Rourkela–Howrah Express (Cancelled both directions on April 25)
