Bhubaneswar: A day after ordering the withdrawal of 22 officers of the Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Home Department Wednesday put its previous order on hold.
In an official order issued on June 17, the state government ordered the withdrawal of services of the 22 OSS officers including one Deputy Secretary, six Section Officers and 14 Assistant Section Officers.
These officers were redeployed to the Parliamentary Affairs Department, Planning and Convergence Department and Rural Development Department
OSS officers who were about to be withdrawn from the Chief Minister’s office are Deputy Secretary Antu Murmu, Section Officers-Laxmidhar Pradhan, Manas Ranjan Purohit, Ram Chandra Sethi, Tanmay Sahu, Abhishek Nayak and Prathik Swarup Swain, Assistant Section Officers- Aripta Kumari Biswasrop, Dibyasmita Majhi, Manisa Tripathy, Arabinda Hota, Muna Patra, Uma Shankar Sahoo, Sandeep Mishra, Bhavani Shankar Panda, Baba Sankateshwar Samantaray, Indra Swarup Sahu, Sambit Prasad Karna, Soumyalin Behera, Kishan Behera, Anil Kumar Patra and Tarinee Prasad Sahu.
However, the Home Department has held the withdrawal order in abeyance.
Keonjhar Sub-collector & Senior OAS officer Trilochan Mohanty was the first officer in the CMO appointed on Monday after CM Mohan Majhi took the oath. Mohanty was appointed as joint secretary to the chief minister. Senior Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) officer Binod Bihari Singh was deployed in the office of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday. Singh served as an Under Secretary in the Planning & Convergence Department of the Government of Odisha.
Today, Satish Chandra Samal, senior private secretary of the Home Department cadre has been appointed as the Additional Private Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.
Sanjay Kumar Bariganjan, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of the Home Department, who is now working as OSD to Member State Planning Board, Odisha has been posted as OSD to Deputy CM, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy.
Prakash Kumar Mohanty, Principal Private Secretary of the Home Dept has been posted as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Law, Works & Excise.
Nityananda Sahoo has been posted as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Rural Development, Panchayatiraj & Drinking Water.
Raj Raj Samantaray has been posted as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Forest Environment & Climate Changes, Labour & ESI.
Sarada Kumar Rath has been posted as OSD to Minister of Commerce and Transport, Steel & Mines.
Mahendra Kumar Sahoo has been appointed as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Forest Environment & Climate Changes, Labour & ESI.
Laxmidhar Hota has been appointed as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister Of Law Works & Excise.
