Nuapada: Three persons died after the motorcycle they were travelling in collided with a roadside water pump house near Larki under Komana block of Nuapada district on Sunday.
According to sources, the trio on a bike was en route to Nuapada from Bolangir’s Lathore this noon when they lost control and the motorcycle dashed into a water pump house on the roadside.
As a result, the trio was thrown into the air and landed with multiple injuries. While one of them died on the spot, locals rescued two others and admitted them to Komana Community Health Centre.
However, they too succumbed to death while undergoing treatment at the CHC.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Girish Chandan of Chaulibanji under Khaprakhol PS in Bolangir and Parameta Nial. The identity of the third victim was not known immediately.
