Andhra Pradesh: As many as three persons were killed and another was injured in a huge explosion at a firecracker manufacturing centre in Kadiyadda village of Tadepalligudem Mandal in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district.
As per Ravi Prakash, SP, West Godavari, a total of eight people worked at the factory who returned home at 5 pm. The explosion took place when they had stepped out for dinner.
Reportedly, the incident took place between 8 pm and 8.20 pm on Thursday. 3 people were killed, 1 injured and 1 is untraceable, said SP.
Following this, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the death of 3 people and also announced an immediate compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the deceased.
