Under the direction of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign” is being observed across the country from October 17 to November 17, 2026.
In line with this national initiative, the General Administration and Public Grievance (GA & PG) Department of the Government of Odisha organized a “Swachhata Pledge” ceremony today in Bhubaneswar.
Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg administered the cleanliness oath to gathered departmental officers and staff in the premises of the GA & PG Department at Lok Seva Bhawan.
During the ceremony, officials pledged to dedicate themselves to cleanliness, uphold Mahatma Gandhi’s message of sanitation, integrate hygiene into their daily routines, and devote personal time to maintaining clean surroundings.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, Principal Secretary of the GA & PG Department, Suresh Kumar Vashishth, along with other officers and employees, actively participated in a cleanup drive organized under the campaign’s banner.
