India recorded a memorable 1-2 finish at the ISSF World Cup 2026 in Munich as Suruchi Singh clinched gold and Esha Singh secured silver in the women’s 10m air pistol event.
Suruchi topped the podium with 242.1 points, while Esha followed closely with 241.2 points, marking a historic sweep for India.
Suruchi, who won three individual ISSF World Cup gold medals last season, showcased her composure under pressure once again. The victory gave her a seventh ISSF World Cup medal and a direct berth for the World Cup Final in Rome later this year. Esha, the reigning Asian champion, continued her strong run after winning the women’s 25m pistol title earlier in Munich with a world record score.
South Korea’s Choo Gaeun secured bronze with 220.2 points. The final also featured London 2012 Olympic silver medallist Celine Goberville, who finished sixth.
In qualification, Muskan emerged as the highest-placed Indian with 579-16x, competing under Ranking Points Only. Suruchi and Esha qualified eighth and ninth with identical scores of 578. Manu Bhaker finished 20th with 575-17x, missing her second successive final in Munich. She will next compete in the mixed team event.
India’s shooters celebrated a strong day, with Suruchi Singh’s gold and Esha Singh’s silver reinforcing the nation’s growing dominance in pistol shooting.
