In a significant step toward enhancing passenger convenience and interstate connectivity, Indian Railways has announced that the Surat (Udhna)–Brahmapur Amrit Bharat Express will now operate on a daily basis, replacing its earlier tri-weekly schedule.
The move is expected to benefit thousands of passengers, particularly migrant workers, business travellers, students, and tourists commuting between Odisha and Gujarat. By offering greater travel flexibility, the daily service will ease long-distance journeys and strengthen cultural and economic ties between the two states.
As per the revised schedule, Train No. 19021 Surat (Udhna)–Brahmapur Amrit Bharat Express will run daily from Udhna starting July 9, 2026 (Thursday), while Train No. 19022 Brahmapur–Surat (Udhna) Amrit Bharat Express will operate daily from Brahmapur beginning July 10, 2026 (Friday).
Officials noted that the conversion of the Amrit Bharat Express into a daily service reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to improving passenger amenities and addressing growing travel demand on this vital corridor. The enhanced frequency is expected to significantly improve accessibility, reduce travel bottlenecks, and encourage smoother movement of people and goods.
Passengers are advised to check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the official Indian Railways website for the latest updates before planning their journeys.
This development marks another milestone in Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to modernize services under the Amrit Bharat scheme, ensuring affordable, efficient, and inclusive travel for all.
