A shocking case of one‑sided love turned violent has ended in tragedy in Bisra block’s Santoshpur Gram Panchayat, Jaratoli village, where a 27‑year‑old woman succumbed to injuries after battling for life for 30 days.
According to police, the accused youth, enraged after repeated rejection, allegedly poured petrol through a window and set the victim’s house ablaze while she was alone. The fire destroyed household belongings and left the woman critically injured. She was rushed to hospital and remained under treatment for a month before losing her fight for survival.
The victim’s family, devastated by the loss, has demanded capital punishment for the accused. “Our daughter suffered for 30 days before dying. He should be hanged,” relatives said.
