Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) stunned Mumbai Indians (MI) with a blistering chase, clinching a six-wicket victory in Match 41 of IPL 2026 at Wankhede Stadium.
MI posted a formidable 243/5, powered by a fiery start in the powerplay. However, SRH’s response was even more explosive, racing to 92/0 in the first six overs. Travis Head’s 21-ball fifty and Abhishek Sharma’s aggressive stroke play set the tone. Despite losing wickets in the middle overs, Heinrich Klaasen’s calculated hitting ensured SRH stayed ahead.
The finishing touch came from Salil Arora, who dismantled MI’s death bowling with audacious strokes against Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. SRH sealed the chase in just 18.4 overs, underlining their dominance.
MI’s bowlers, including Trent Boult and AM Ghazanfar, struck crucial blows, but SRH’s relentless batting firepower proved unstoppable. The victory reinforced SRH’s reputation as the most aggressive batting unit of the season.
