Bhubaneswar: A day after Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner admitted that the state capital does not have an adequate vaccine for the age group of 18-44, the civic body geared up for the special drive to administer the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine to beneficiaries.
The special drive will also be launched to administer vaccines to the COVID frontline workers including journalists of the state.
BMC Additional Commissioner, Laxmikant Sethi on Friday informed that a two-day drive will be underway between June 8 and 9 to administer the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine for the age group of 18-44.
“The special drive starting from next week and it will administer the vaccine to those who had taken the first dose on May 3, 4, and 5. The beneficiaries will have to take the second dose at the same centers where they were administered the first shot,” Sethi said.
“A special drive will also be launched soon to administer the second dose of the vaccine to the frontline warriors in the city,” he added.
