Kolkata: Former India captain and the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly was discharged today, five days after undergoing an angioplasty procedure from the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata.
Reportedly, Ganguly was admitted to the hospital after suffering from a mild cardiac arrest while working out at his gym on January 2.
“I am absolutely fine and hope that I will resume my work soon,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India president and the former national captain told reporters.
“I also hope to fly soon,” he added.
Meanwhile, hundreds of youth gathered outside the hospital to catch a glimpse of their favourite cricketer.
