The Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple has announced new measures to streamline darshan and strengthen discipline inside the temple premises.

According to the announcement, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been prepared for guests visiting the temple under protocol. The responsibility for protocol management will rest solely with the temple administration.

The administration also decided to tighten restrictions on the use of mobile phones inside the temple premises. Only those with official or ritual-related duties will be permitted entry beyond designated points.

Referring to yesterday’s controversy, Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee offered an apology and admitted that the incident occurred due to a lack of coordination. He ordered an inquiry into the matter and assured that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty based on CCTV footage.
