In a major crackdown on illegal activities in the town, the Anugola Special Squad, alongside local police, busted a high-profile sex racket operating out of a residential home in the Amalapada area, situated near the Old Bus Stand.
Acting on precise intelligence regarding illegal operations in the neighborhood, a joint team of the Special Squad and Anugola Police conducted a surprise raid on the house during the evening. The residence belonged to a local resident, identified as Rajesh Swain, who was allegedly running the racket from his premises for a considerable period.
During the operation, police arrested the primary organiser, Rajesh Swain, along with two customers caught at the location. Authorities also successfully rescued two women from the premises. Additionally, a significant quantity of objectionable materials was seized during the search.
All individuals taken into custody are currently being detained at the police station for detailed interrogation as law enforcement seeks to uncover further links connected to the network.
