Sambalpur: Police today collected Rs 20,000 fine from two pre-wedding functions in Sambalpur for violation of COVID-19 norms.
As per reports, police along with a magistrate conducted raids at two marriage functions held at Biharipada, Modipada, and found a large number of people gathered in the event, flouting COVID-19 guidelines.
Police collected a fine of Rs 10,000 each from the organizers of both the functions and admonished them and the guests for not following the COVID-19 norms.
