Ratna Bhandar inventory work at Puri Srimandir nears completion as officials finish counting 90 per cent of ornaments in the outer chamber.

The process included 3D mapping, videography, and photography of all items.

Chief Administrator Aravind Padhee confirmed that the outer chamber inventory will conclude today. From April 13, the focus will shift to the inner Ratna Bhandar, where the next phase of counting will begin. The temple administration has scheduled a pause on April 14 due to Mahavishuba Sankranti. Work will resume from April 16 to 18, ensuring a systematic and transparent process.

Officials emphasised that the inventory aims to document every ornament with precision. The use of advanced technology like 3D mapping ensures accurate records and safeguards the temple’s treasures. The administration assured devotees that the process respects tradition while maintaining accountability.

The Ratna Bhandar inventory holds immense cultural and religious significance. Devotees and heritage experts view the exercise as a crucial step in preserving the sanctity of Srimandir’s treasures. The temple administration reiterated its commitment to completing the process with transparency and diligence.

The upcoming inner chamber inventory marks a critical stage in the exercise. With the outer chamber counting nearly complete, attention now turns to documenting ornaments stored in the most sacred section of the Ratna Bhandar.
