New Delhi: Seeking protection from arrest in cases filed over her comments on Prophet Mohammed, Suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma moved Supreme Court on Monday.
The petition has been listed before the top court tomorrow and the case will be heard by a bench comprising Justice Surya Kant and Justice JB Pardiwala.
She is facing nine FIRs for her alleged blasphemous statement against the Prophet.
Nupur Sharma also sought expunction of remarks made by Supreme Court bench on July 1 which led her to withdraw plea for clubbing of FIRs on row.
Sharma said that after the Supreme Court held her responsible for the country’s unrest, her threat to life has increased. Her latest petition has been listed before the same bench which heard her first petition during vacations.
